This Privacy Policy explains how ATC-Systems OY (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in Finland, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Swymmetry (the “App”), including our mobile app and our companion apps for smartwatches. We are the data controller for the purposes of applicable data-protection law.

Your email address, your password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider), and profile details you choose to add, such as display name, sex, age, country, height, and weight.
Data you generate through the App, including swim recordings (motion-sensor logs from a connected wearable), detected strokes and laps, distances, durations, pace, calories, heart rate (if your device provides it), stroke-quality estimates, and personal-best times.
Your goals, projects, preferred pool unit and size, preferred training days, equipment, and the workouts and plans generated for you.
App version, device type and operating-system version, and basic diagnostic information used to keep the App working and to understand who is using an up-to-date version.
We do not intentionally collect special-category health data beyond the fitness metrics described above, and we do not use your data for advertising.
If you choose to connect a smartwatch, we receive the swim data needed to analyse your session. Connecting a device is optional and always initiated by you, and you can disconnect at any time.
| Source | What we receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Garmin | Swim activity summaries, per-length records (stroke type, length type, timing), and motion-sensor data (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer) recorded by our Connect IQ app, plus heart rate where available. | To detect your lengths and strokes and produce your swim analysis. |
| Wear OS | Motion-sensor recordings and heart rate from our Wear OS app. | Same as above. |
| Apple Watch | Swim workout summaries, lap and length data, motion-sensor recordings and heart rate, either from our companion app or from Apple Health where you grant access. | Same as above. |
| Fitbit | Swim activity summaries, lap and distance data, and heart rate. | Same as above. |
| Other devices and services | Where you connect another wearable, fitness platform or health service, we receive the swim and activity data that service makes available and that you authorise — typically activity summaries, lap or length data, motion-sensor recordings and heart rate. | Same as above. |
Not every device listed above is supported in every version of the App, and we may add or remove integrations over time. Whichever service you use, we only ever receive data for the account you connected, only after you have authorised it, and only for as long as that connection remains in place.
Where you connect a Garmin account, we access your data only after you have authorised it, only for the account you authorised, and only to produce your own training analysis. We do not access data belonging to other Garmin users, and we do not share Garmin data with third parties other than the infrastructure providers listed in section 5. You can revoke access at any time from your Garmin account settings or by deleting your Swymmetry account. The same applies to every other service you connect: you can disconnect it at any time from that service's settings, from within the App where available, or by deleting your Swymmetry account.
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we process your data on the basis of performance of a contract (to provide the App you signed up for), your consent (which you may withdraw at any time, for example by disconnecting a wearable), and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the App), balanced against your rights.
We host and process your data using trusted providers who act on our behalf under data-protection agreements. We do not sell your data.
Some processing may occur in countries outside your own; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
swymmetry.com is our public website and is separate from the App. It uses cookies and similar technologies to measure how the site is used — for example which pages are visited, how long a visit lasts, and which site referred you. If you join the pre-launch waitlist we store the email address you give us, together with any preferences you select such as your phone platform or watch, so that we can tell you when Swymmetry is available. We use that address only for that purpose, every announcement includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time by writing to mikhail.ishchenko@swymmetry.com.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. You can exercise these rights in the App where available, through our account-deletion page, or by contacting mikhail.ishchenko@swymmetry.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority; in Finland this is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not intended for children under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new version and effective date here and in the App.
